Tignanello

Tignanello is the wine that invented the Super Tuscans. Created by the Antinori family in the 1970s, it was the first great Tuscan red to blend Sangiovese with Bordeaux varieties and to be aged in barriques.

Dominated by Sangiovese, completed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Tignanello marries black cherry, spices, fine leather and toasted notes, with an elegant structure and typically Tuscan freshness. An absolute classic, to enjoy now or cellar for 15 to 25 years.

Pairings: red meats, pasta al ragù, aged pecorino. Storage: lying down, 12–14 °C. Careful, insured delivery throughout Switzerland.
